One of the most under-rated Ferraris, and quite possibly one of the best front-engined Ferraris of the modern era.
The over-styled 599 and F12 have nothing on this gorgeous design. A true object lesson in a modern timeless classic.
And quite possibly one of the best hood scoops ever used on a car.
classier BBS Challenge or CH-R forged wheels to relieve the car of it's 90's-era wheel style, and a gorgeous LeMans Blue, or Rosso Fiorano paint job... and it might actually be perfection.
I would probably take one over a brand new Ferrari, which I think are a bit too 'art-school', and different-for-the-sake-of-difference styling, and thus not as timeless as 550/575M, or older, classic Ferraris.

I think the newer ones are good looking but they have nothing on the older more subltely designed cars. I think the 458 is that last real Pininfarina-esque designed, not to over the top but still classy. I do prefer the Front engined GT cars, even the new California even though it should have come with a manual transmission option and not solely a 'flappy paddle' gearbox.

The thing I love about Ferrari, is they absolutely nailed the interiors even way back in the late 80's and 90's when everybody else was seemingly clueless.

And the 550 is a great buy right now.
If you buy a low mileage one now and take care of it then it will be a good car to keep for life. It might go up in value later. I definitely do not see them getting any cheaper.
